"I don't think there's one word that can describe a man's life." Citizen Kane is a film I've been meaning to watch since I was thirteen and first fell in love with Cinema. The appreciation I've received as a critic finally drove me to crossing this one off my list. I couldn't be happier. At first this movie is about the dying words of a rich man who had everything but love. He spends his time making his friends love him and his wealth on loving himself. His mistakes catch up with him and he's ultimately left to die alone in his estate big enough for a small city. With further inspection its possible to see traces of the life of Orson Welle's, the director and star, scattered throughout the days of Charles Foster Kane.
