The philosophy of 'The Matrix' is why it's still so much fun. Begging the question; What if our twenty century world wasn't what we thought? Could it be that we're living in a simulation of what was once reality? This anxious question is what makes The Matrix unforgettable. It's philosophy has developed a generation of fans and in 2020 it's honestly still worth the time. Though, there could have been more. I don't mean in minutes but in stretching the possibilities of it's philosophy. Was a 40 minute gunfight really the way to end such a mind-bending and thought provoking film? I'm sure the special effects department thought so. Overall, I really enjoyed myself and the hand-to-hand combat still gives me goosebumps. Excited to watch the second one!
