Edward Scissorhands (1990)

"Incomplete and all alone."
Tim Burton invites us to experience Edwards journey of Americanization. Edward is a robot with scissors as hands. How would you expect things to go? This is a strange film. In 2019, it's eerie personality and vibrant color is a wonderful mix of weird and down-to-earth. Watching a young Johnny Depp is extraordinary and the rest of the cast including; Winona Ryder, Dianne West, Alan Arkin, all do a great job of bringing this story to life. I love the color contrast in this film, the wacky set design, Edwards steampunk outfit, its all so surreal. I was surprised how much I enjoyed revisiting this classic. A unique experience. ​
