10 Things I Hate About You (1999)

"My insurance doesn't cover pms!"
This is one of my favorite feel good comedies. The cast is having so much fun and it's hard not to be a part of that. Even the side characters are all memorable; Mr. Morgan the sassy English teacher, Walter who delivers babies for a living and doesn't let his daughters date, and Bogie who needs no explanation. Watching Julia Styles and Heath Ledger perform together is rewarding and a young Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays lovestruck Cameron. It's hilarious, edgy, and holds a spot among the best coming of age films. Even though it doesn't bring anything new to the table necessarily, it seems more like to set the bar higher for what came after.
