Back to the Future (1985)

When I found out my wife had never seen this movie I felt like I had failed my duty as a movie lover and a husband. We immediately sat down and watched it that evening. The good news is that she genuinely enjoyed it and I did too all over again, perhaps even more this time. It's not everyday you get to show someone Back to the Future for the first time. Together we appreciated the creativity behind nearly every scene. Starting off with Dr. Emmett's clock collection and his obsession with time, to Marty's sick 80's outfit. "Why are you wearing a life jacket?" My Halloween outfit for this year is set. Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale were cooking with this script! The 80's comedies were branching away from the censored 70's with more raunchy and explicit content. Yet, Back to the Future proved there was still a place for family comedy and defined itself as of the the 80's best movies - comedy or not.
