![]() 95 minutes in the shoes of an American soldier in Iraq. Written, directed, and visualized by one of the men who was actually there that day. Historically, this is no Black Hawk Down. In the grand scope of that war this was a small and insignificant event, which works to make this even more powerful. This is just another day. Lives are lost, limbs are detached, and the war rages on without any winners or losers. The pointlessness of it all really hits when the credits roll. Sadly, that's just how it was. The films power however, is its ability to create this awesome sense of realism. When the bullets start flying and the screams of war are underway it is truly awful. Very overwhelming and anxiety inducing in a way not many war films really capture.
