  I read a fantastic note about this movie, which said that if the AI system recommends your kids watch the Emoji movie than something is inherently wrong with that AI. It made me giggle but it also helped me understand my experience with this film. This is a movie that will entertain you as much as you allow it to. Is it scary? Absolutely not. Is the writing good? Ha! Did my friends and I find enjoyment in it's stupidity? Hell yeah we did. We laughed out loud at multiple scenes. Potentially, they were not meant to be funny but who cares? This movie doesn't take itself very seriously. It's a popcorn horror flick with a plot that can be summed up in two words - AI BAD. I will not bore you with plot details or performances because absolutely no one seeing this movie really expects anything other than minor enjoyment, which can be found here.
