Cuties is unfortunately the current cinematic hot topic for overwhelming negative reasons that you're probably aware of. Despite this issue, which I discuss at length in a video on my channel, the film has some merit in it's performances. Especially Maimouna Gueye as the broken mother figure, who must accept her husbands second wife. She had me feeling a lot of things. We also can't discredit the children, who all brought their characters to life despite their age and innocence. We can't blame them after all. Unfortunately, these highlights are overshadowed by the looming threat inherit in the system. I think its quite hilarious that a French made film had to wake up America to a problem that's rooted in American culture- the sexualization of everything.
