"So you've got a plan?"
Where do I begin? Here is a movie that exists in many genres; comedy, thriller, drama. It conveys political overtones with smart cinematically adept techniques and is composed brilliantly by Bong Joon-ho and cinematographer Hong Kyung-pyo, possibly the most gorgeous film of 2019. The color choices effectively deliver a consistent mood of contrast; vibrancy in the slums, blood on white bread. This contrast is synonymous with it's plot driven politics; rich family, poor family. Above ground, below ground. I don't have enough space on this page to praise 'Parasite' accurately. I loved it. It's riveting entertainment that sticks to the soul, speaks volumes on socio-economic dilemma, and it's arresting unpredictability demands multiple viewings. I walked into this film with high expectations and it surpassed all. I now have a reason to start a top ten 2019 list. Can't wait to see it again.
