Tarantino tunes down his zealous directorial style for Once Upon a Time... Not that I'm complaining. The result is a refreshingly fun and surprisingly digestible dive into 1969 Hollywood. Featuring stellar performances from DiCaprio and especially Brad Pitt, who is absolutely hilarious. This is a time-piece about an aging actor, who happens to live next to Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski. I think expecting anything else can lead to disappointment. Not that this is a bad movie at all- but it's not the suspenseful drama you may have hoped for. Tarantino's true talent is displayed through his writing and ability to bring moments to life. Once Upon a Time... is definitely an adventure full of wit, charm, and talent.
