Coming from someone who skips most disaster/monster movies- 'Crawl' is awesome, literally. There's moments where the whole audience awed at the same time. In that same sense, its also ooh-some and holy shit-some. There's not a moment wasted in this adrenaline rush. Just enough story to make you care and then non-stop bloody alligator fun that understands its only goal- big alligators terrorizing humans. The atmosphere of the hurricane was surprisingly realistic which aids heavily in the immersion. Alongside, the two main actors took it more seriously than the writers. In this case that really worked out.
