  This summer 2018 has had pretty dull movie releases. Then there was UPGRADE; a completely fresh take on the Sci-Fi thriller scene full of dark-comedy and brutal violence. Logan-Marshall Green's performance breathes life into a somewhat choppy script allowing the spotlight to become his character and not his otherwise typical killing spree. The cinematography is both great and bad at the same time depending on the scene. The score is well made and fitting for such a dark and eerie revenge tale. Blumhouse has out-done themselves with this unconventional B-movie thriller.
