Mid 90's is the next addition to A24's great list of coming-of-age films. Stevie (sunburn) is thirteen and innocent. Until, he becomes close to a group of older guys, who spend their afternoons skipping class to ride skateboards. There's a vivid nostalgia in this little gem's atmosphere that makes every scene relevant. When the credits rolled I was disappointed it had ended. Yet, we get a clear picture of 90's youth and what writer/director Jonah Hill is capable of.
