This Spike Lee joint is some fo'real shit about the most unlikely member of the Ku Klux Klan. John David Washington and Adam Driver both delivery highlight performances as cops (pigs) infiltrating "the organization," as Ron Stallworth becomes the first black man to become a member of the cult. To tell a story this f***** up you really have to make it funny and they did that very successfully. Topher Grace as David Duke is the funniest thing that's happened all year. They manage to find a great balance in the perspectives represented through the script. There's many sides to this wild story and we get to see most of it all- even when its hard to accept the reality of the situation. There's a lot of love put into this movie about hate.
