Review: Bad Times at the El Royale

Bad Times has a lot going for it- a great cast, great writers, and an interesting setting. Unfortunately, this all somehow blends into a overly long and dull experience. I went into this film expecting a few great performances with a couple fun twists. Those two things were achieved. Yet, as a whole, this film still feels incomplete. There just wasn't enough grounded substance to hold the weight of it's scattered plot, which doesn't succeed emotionally or cohesively. Negative comments aside- there is still a bit of fun to be had at the El Royale.
