Review: Adrift

Adrift showcases Shailene Woodley's talent throughout it's 90 minute run-time. It's successful on an emotional level- if you want to watch a movie that'll bring tears I could recommend twenty better than this one, but it still works. Besides being a tearjerker there's not much to see. The shots are for the most part of an empty sea but whenever the sunset swings around the sky lights up the screen. Woodley does a solid job maintaining a hefty load of solo acting as she survives adrift in this true survival story.
