Subtle brilliance and endearing sentiment make 'The Florida Project' such an emotionally rewarding experience. Despite the tough circumstances the characters of this film all live under the child's perspective creates an often magical atmosphere. The first 30 minutes especially, as we watch three misbehaving children find enjoyment from small activities like spitting on cars or watching their neighbor go topless in the public pool. It's kinda funny even with the serious undertone. Yet, the longer the film runs the more desperate the situation becomes for our lead child, Moonee. It's a very sad reality and this is one important story.
