The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017)

​Bewildering metaphorical hosh posh. Cattering to the fans of avant-garde film- the director and writer Yorgos Lanthimos has created a modern rendition of a greek mythos. The most puzzling question is the characters lack of basic emotions. The decision definitely creates an uncomfortable eerie tone but I don't always see how it's in the films best interest. Nonetheless, I couldn't help but watch this film all the way through. Even if it may have been challenging, which was definitely the directors intentions. The talented cast made it all work.
