Olivia Cooke and Anya Taylor-Joy both create complex characters that continue to unfold throughout Thoroughbreds. Highly unpredictable and quirky, Cory Finley's directorial debut thoroughly entertains. Gorgeous cinematography mixed with existential dread compel tense arguments against the American dream creating a sort of dystopia. Where everyone is controlled by their emotions- unless they have none. A lot can be said about this thought-provoking mindf***.
