"We did not kill Jesus! We did not do that!"
The Night Before is about what Christmas really stands for; getting messed up with your friends, eating shrooms, and Miley Cyrus. This movie is a big laugh and a good bet for any late night around the holidays. Solid performances and a great balance between comedy and character really proves that The Night Before won't easily be forgotten.

An eerie discomfort presents itself in the opening shot and continues on through the thankfully short run-time of this family-style horror. This is Trey Edward Shults directorial debut. I was lucky to watch (and love) It Comes At Night so I was interested in seeing what else he can do. The man has talent. He has created two low-budget films that are way creepier than any of the big studios horror films because they have depth and complexity. Concepts that mainstream horror tend to leave to the side for a few extra jump scares. Krisha is not an enjoyable watch. I couldn't wait for it to end. But the feeling that the movie created was pressing and powerful. Keep an eye out for Trey Edward Shults.

"Chewy, we're home."
The Star Wars of my generation.
Much like the above quote from the film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, this episode- in the most beloved franchise of all time - is glowing with nostalgia that will have tears flowing. As the light-saber was guided into Rey's hand, the classic music cued (every fans eyes watered) and the modern face of Star Wars realized that she contained a power to be reckoned with. JJ Abrams has just created a Star Wars for this generation. A Star Wars that both breaths the same air of a world we fell in-love with and creating new exciting characters and conflicts. There were moments I wanted the movie to pause so I could sit in the world longer. Happy to say we got a solid reboot. Entertaining installment in the most legendary saga of all-time.
