"Don't believe his lies. He's the one. Kill him."
"Remember Sammy Jenkins," was a rule Leonard had to live by. A method of keeping himself in check during the hunt for his wife's murderer and the person who took his memory away. Relearning and living through the same trauma every day in pursuit of a goal that he wouldn't remember achieving. This struggle is tailored into a unique experience by writer/director Christopher Nolan, who is one of my favorite directors. This film proved that he's a commanding force in the film industry. There are not many films like this and certainly not any this well made. The writing here is gold with the performances and cinematography just icing on a bizarre entertaining cake that demands to be eaten. No one can be trusted. Not even Sammy Jenkins.
